04. The fastest submarine in the world was Soviet submarine K-222. It could reach  44.7 knots (83 km/h; 51 mph), fully submerged.

05. Submarines are not only used for military purposes. There are submarines that are being used for marine science, salvage and exploration

06. The largest unmanned submarine is The US Navy LSV-2 Cutthroat. It is 33.83 m (111 ft) long, 3.05 m (10 ft) wide, and weighs 205 tonnes (451,950 lb).

07. The longest submerged and unsupported patrol made public is 111 days (57,085 km 30,804 nautical miles) by HM Submarine Warspite (Cdr J. G. F. Cooke RN) in the South Atlantic from 25 November 1982 to 15 March 1983.

08. The largest target ever sunk by a submarine was the Japanese aircraft carrier Shinano (72,890 tonnes or 160.9 million lb), sunk by USS Archerfish (Cdr Joseph F. Enright, USN) on 29 November 1944.

09. Currently North Korea owns the largest number of submarines in the world. They own 71 submarines by 2023. USA and China have place in second and third places respectively.
