Encanto – A Review – Facts and DIY

Hi film lovers!!! I recently watched the latest Disney movie Encanto. Encanto translates into “The Enchantment” in English and just like every other animated series before presented by Disney Encanto is musical with a female lead.

The story winds up around the Madrigal family, a peaceful huge family that lives in a closed village looking after the villagers. Abuela, the eldest in the family when she was young was forced to flee with her husband and her 3 little children. During her journey Abuela loses her husband to a hunting party that hunts down the escaped villagers. Then she was given a magical candle to survive the miserable situation. The candle grants different kinds of magical powers to everyone in the family except for Mirabel, our main character.

The story flows how the Madrigal family faces when they are threatened with magic dying and how each member in the family really thinks of their magical powers, which everyone adores. And our lead character Mirabel who is the only one without any magic lives within the family and their home casita.

I personally like the colourful themed graphics and specially the music. But I believe that the plot is somewhat lacks happenings. It has more room to develop. Unlike Disney’s last animated movie I watched Raya, The Encanto had failed in some areas. But the songs in the movie did not failed to entertain me.

The movie was released on the 21st November 2021 and runs for 102 minutes. The voice cast in the movie is as follows :-
